How to fix Failure configuring Windows updates. Reverting changes." error when you try to install Windows updates

Guys it is pretty simple to fix this without any impact

Go to run and type services.msc

Stop the BITS service

Stop Windows Update Service

Go to the "C:\Windows\WinSxS" location and find pending.xml file and delete that

If you will see permission issue and unable to delete that file then change the ownership to your account and try to delete

Remove the Software Distribution folder  "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution"

Now restart your system and enjoyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
